FINE ARTS AUDITION PROCESS

ACADEMY DANCERSThe Academy Dancers are Brentwood Academy's premiere audition dance group, holding multiple state and national titles. Auditions for the Academy Dancers take place in the spring for the following school year. There are opportunities for both middle school and upper school students to participate in Academy Dancers. ACADEMY JUNIORSAcademy Juniors auditions are held in fall to determine that year's Academy Juniors and are open to all students in grades 6-8. Students who make the group will also be enrolled in chorus for that school year. If your student signed up for another elective but would like to audition, we can change his or her elective choice to chorus, should he or she make the group. The audition process will have three components: solo, range testing, and part-singing.

ACADEMY SINGERSThe Academy Singers hold auditions in the spring to determine the singers for the following school year. A sight-reading audition sign-up sheet will be posted on the door of Mr. Wise's office (behind the Theatre) at the end of April. You must sign up for the sight-reading portion of your audition. BANDJazz Band and Rock Band auditions are held in the spring for the following school year. Below, you will find the information for Jazz Band and Rock Band auditions. THEATERBrentwood Academy produces three plays every school year. The fall play, middle school musical, and spring musical each have individual audition processes that take place during the school year. Shows are announced during the school year they fall within. Students make up both the cast and the crew for every production.
